Who We Are

Sportsmen for Responsible Energy Development is a coalition of more than 500 businesses, organizations and individuals dedicated to conserving irreplaceable habitats so future generations can hunt and fish on America's public lands. The coalition is led by the National Wildlife Federation, Trout Unlimited and the Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership.

Protect Public Lands

BILLINGS - As energy prices soar, so does the push for responsible oil and gas development on public lands.  Millions of acres in the Rocky Mountain West are available for such development, and hunters and anglers want to make sure such activity does not hurt the health of the area. Watch the News Coverage from Montana NBC here.

Drilling for Natural Gas in Wyoming Raises Debate

Wyoming has some of the largest natural gas reserves in the country -- underneath public land -- leading to a debate over whether to drill or preserve the land for other uses. NewsHour correspondent Spencer Michels reports from Wyoming.
